Thanksgiving things to do: visit a pumpkin farm or apple orchard

While I live in the states, we celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with the family, so we do some fun traditions to get us thinking Thanksgiving a month before our American friends and family.

On our list of places to try out this year was:

We had so much fun! Pinehaven farm is just north of the twin cities in Wyoming, MN and it had so many attractions from a grain train that took us through the fields to the pumpkin patch and round bale maze. We spent more than 6 hours running around and found 3 pumpkins in the pick your own patch that will soon become jack-o-lanterns.

At Pine Tree Apple Orchard we checked out the apple sorter in the apple barn. I had never seen an apple sorter before, so that was pretty cool to see! I took a short little video below in case you have not seen one either. It was really cool, so definitely recommend a visit to a working apple orchard to see one in person! Hope you all have a fun fall, and that it includes a farm visit!
